The annual McPherson Fall Sports Preview was another successful turn out from the McPherson community on Friday. Family members, neighbors and alumni all united at McPherson Stadium and the McPherson Sports Center as they get ready for another Bullpup season this fall.

It began with the middle school football and volleyball teams at around 5 p.m. as they both ran a mini scrimmage to open up the preview. After that, the high school football teams was up next at McPherson Stadium, and the high school volleyball team at the Sports Center. The cross country team was also getting some distance in before the start of their first invitational next week. Bullpup Head Coach Jace Pavlovich kept it simple as they get ready for their Jamboree on Saturday morning at Valley Center. One of the highlights of the mini scrimmage was quarterback Dylan Rinker finding Gus Ruddle in the post with two defenders on him.

While all of this was going on, over 300 people came to register for the Ford Drive 4UR School Test Drive sponsored by the McPherson Booster Club. Midway Motors donated $20 for each driver, and the money will be donated to the athletics and activities of the driver's choosing.

The McPherson marching band and the color guard gave enriching entertainment as they performed "The Brave," by Scotland before the announcer introduced all the fall sports student-athletes.

The high school boys soccer night capped Friday's preview with a varsity vs. junior varsity scrimmage. The soccer team will have their season opener on Saturday against Newton High School at 11 a.m at Fischer Field.

Overall, the McPherson community has gotten a taste of what's to this season for the Bullpups.
