Kelly Scott Wingrove, 57, of McPherson, died Sept. 18, 2019, at his home in McPherson.

Kelly was born March 10, 1962, in McPherson to Ronald G. (Bud), Sr. and Mona M.  (Burke) Wingrove.

He grew up in Casper, Wyoming and McPherson and graduated from McPherson High School in 1980.  He spent most of his working life at CertainTeed Corporation, before retiring in 2014 after 30 years.


On October 4, 2002, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jenny R. Greep at Longford, Kansas.   


Kelly enjoyed listening to good music and playing guitar, learning about history, and playing golf with his friends and family.  He was also very proud of his Cherokee Indian heritage.

He is survived by his mother, Mona Voth (Dave) of Thornton, Colorado; son, Kristopher Wingrove of McPherson, Kansas; brothers, Ron Wingrove, Jr. (Dee) of Galva, Kansas and Bill Wingrove (Eva) of Littleton, Colorado; two nieces, Diana Rivera and Christa Lawson; a nephew, Dallas Dilli; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny, in 2011 and by his father, Ronald (Bud) Wingrove, Sr., in 1976.

Graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11a.m., Friday (Sept.  27, 2019) at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Terry McLellan officiating.
