Gallagher 29-7

Peter 29-7

Texas Tech at No. 6 Oklahoma

Gallagher- This game would be more fun under the lights. But this isn’t a Patrick Mahomes-led Texas Tech team. Oklahoma should be able to score at will and limit what Tech can do on offense. 48-21 Oklahoma

Peter- Oklahoma is refreshed and are at home, I expect Jalen Hurts to make another Heisman contender campaign when the Sooners roll over Texas Tech. 52-21 Oklahoma

Kansas at TCU

Gallagher- A rematch of last year’s KU win. I don’t see the Jayhawks making it two in a row. 34-17 TCU

Peter- Both teams are coming off a stunning loss last week, so both teams have a big chip on their shoulders this Saturday. I’m not sold on either teams, but TCU is a heavy favorite. KU will probably give the Horned Frogs trouble early on, but I can see the Jayhawks fall apart in the second half. 21-10 TCU

Iowa State at Baylor

Gallagher- I am very excited to see this game play out. I think Oklahoma has a lock on one of the two Big 12 championship spots, but both these teams are dark horses for the second. The loser of this one is eliminated, in my opinion. I’m going with Charlie Brewer and the high-powered Baylor offense. 38-31 Baylor

Peter- This game is intriguing, knowing this a conference opener for Baylor and Iowa State. Last week, Baylor barely defeated Rice 21-13, while the Cyclones blew out Louisiana Monroe,72-20.

I’m looking for Brock Purdy to to have a big night against the Bears’ defense. 34-21 Iowa State

No. 24 Kansas State at Oklahoma State

Gallagher- Oklahoma State had its chances against Texas last week, but I digress. I think Oklahoma State is starting the Big 12 season with the two toughest teams not named Oklahoma. Kansas State has won the last two games in this series convincingly, but I have to roll with my Cowboys. 45-41 Oklahoma State

Peter- Kansas State has been impressive in its non conference, but now Klieman has a chance for his Wildcats to set the tone in the Big 12 with a win at Oklahoma State. I can see K-State wear down the Cowboys’ defense. However, be careful, I’m sure Mike Gundy has something under his sleeves. 31-28 Kansas State
