Evelyn Diane (Carpenter) Blake, 64, of McPherson, passed away Oct. 6, 2019. As a young toddler, her nickname was “Gette Gotta.”
Diane worked as a legal secretary.
Diane was born on August 1, 1955, in McPherson, the daughter of Robert Dean and Una Bee (Carley) Carpenter. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1973. Diane was united in marriage to Curtis L. Blake on May 31, 2014, in McPherson.
Survivors include: her husband, Curtis Blake of McPherson; mother, Una Bee (Bud) Miller of Athens, Texas; two sisters, Carley Carpenter of McPherson and Sara (Eric) Folck of Galva; nieces, Amber (Travis) Washam of Whitewater, and Haylee (Dan) Storey of Hudson, Florida; great-nieces, Katelynn Parsons, Maddison Washam, and Scarlett Washam; mother-in-law, Connie Blake of McPherson; step-son, Brendon M. Blake of Kansas City, Missouri; and two dogs, Chico and Star.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 16, 2019), at Galva United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Miller officiating. Inurnment will be in the McPherson Cemetery.
