Lindsborg – An "Old-Fashioned Christmas” celebration returns to the McPherson County Old Mill Museum this from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 14th.

 

Three highlights

1. Step into history

The event is designed the capture the spirit of a 1880s prairie Christmas. Attendees can tour the museum grounds lit by kerosene lanterns — strolling between music, drama and children’s activities. Santa will be in the main museum. While there kids can create Christmas crafts and decorate a sugar cookie. A shepherd will share the traditional Christmas story in the stable from 5 to 7 p.m.

 

2. Holiday entertainment

Groups providing holiday music include: Prairie Wind Harp Circle; Silver Tones Flute Choir Mennonite Friends; Mennonite Friends Chorus; McPherson's Men In Harmony; Smoky Valley Men’s Choir; and Tyler Atkinon

 

Special kids’ music will be offered by entertainer Thad Beach.

 

 

3. A holiday drama

 

 

The Smoky Valley High School Drama Team will offer the play “Christmas On the Prairie” with performances repeating throughout the evening.
