It might not, technically, be the weekend — but some causes are too important to put ina nifty little box. New Year’s Eve Grizzly Bowl and Graphic Concepts Inc is hosting a New Year's Eve party to raise money for Tyson Nielson and his family.

Three highlights

1. A good cause

Tyson Nielson is a school resource officer in El Dorado schools. He spent months fundraising to bring a service dog — both a therapy and drug dog, in the schools and was ultimately successful in doing so. He was recently diagnosed with Adamatinominoa Cancer and will have his right leg amputated.

2. Bowling

The bowling event will have two sessions — from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 31 and from 9 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1. The early session costs $20, the late session costs $25. Both feature shoes, shirt, pizza and soft drinks.

3. More fun stuff to do

There will also be a silent auction, raffle and food discounts that night.
