1. Catch a concert


Pianist Jim Brickman will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at the McPherson Opera House with his 25th Anniversary Greatest Hits LIVE concert.


Jim Brickman has earned 21 Number One albums and 32 Top 20 Radio Singles in Billboard Magazine. He’s garnered two Grammy nominations, gospel music’s Dove Award, two SESAC Songwriter of the Year Awards, and the Canadian Country Music Award. He also has a music scholarship named for him by his alma mater, the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music.

2. Head to the forum


The Farm Forum hosted by the McPherson Chamber Ag Committee will be 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at the First United Methodist Church, 1200 E. Kansas Ave.


Featured speaker is Mark Potter – “Embrace the Journey.” Included in the program will be recognition of McPherson County 2019 Farm Family of the Year and the 2019 Friend of Agriculture. Tickets are required to attend. For more information call 620-241-3303.


3. Hear choral music


The Chaney Music Symposium will be 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the McPherson Free Methodist Church, 1010 S. Maple St. Guest Dr. Bradley Vogel will be directing the CCCK Choir, joined by local high school choirs. This event is free and open to the public.


4. Have a bite to eat


The Annual Soup Supper at the Galva Senior Center will be 5 to 7 p.m. 218 S. Main in Galva. The dinner will feature homemade soups – chili chicken noodle, vegetable, & potato – along with crackers & fixins’, homemade pies, tea and coffee. Admissin is by donation. Hosted by the McPherson County Council on Aging.


5. Meet legislators


Pine Village will host a Legislative Coffee at 9 a.m. Feb. 29 at the Pine Village Wellness Center, 86 22nd Ave. in Moundridge. Senator Rick Wilborn and Representative Stephen Owens will visit about what’s going on at the State Capitol and will be available for questions. The event is open to the public.
