Wesley "Wes" Berg, 57, of Windom passed away at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, peacefully, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
Wes was born in McPherson on June 10, 1959, a son of Bonnie Beth (Brown) and Charles Andrew Berg.
Wes attended Windom grade school and graduated from Little River High School in 1977. He then attended Hutchinson Community Junior College, Hutchinson.
He was a member of Andover Lutheran Church, Windom.
Wes was a farmer and cattleman and he enjoyed his life on the farm. He also worked at W-R Mill of Windom for several years.
Wes enjoyed farming, working his cattle, fishing and hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Kyle Berg and his wife Jill, of Hutchinson, Karen Humiston and her husband Jeff, of Hutchinson, and Kathy Berg, of Hutchinson; his nieces and nephews, Andrew Berg, Whitney Berg, Chad Janette and his wife Brandy, Casey Pierce and her husband Stephan, and Matthew Janette; his great-nieces and nephews, Ellie Janette, Lexi Janette, Ty Janette, Troy Pierce, Abigail Pierce, and Peyton Pierce; other relatives and a host of friends.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Charles Berg, and a sister, Linda K. Barnhart.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
Graveside service and burial of cremains will be held at Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Windom, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 with the Rev. J. Elizabeth Liggett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Andover Lutheran Church or Hospice and Homecare of Reno County and they can be sent in care of the Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, Kansas 67460.
