Broken Arrow - Eva M. Miller, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born April 10, 1935 in Plainville, KS, the daughter of George and Lillian Stalnaker. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1953 and received her insurance technology two year degree from Dodge City Community College in 1986.
She married Robert (Tom) Miller and they were the parents of two children, Julie and Lonnie. They later divorced.
Eve was a former teacher's aide and secretary for the Canton-Galva Schools. She had also been employed by Alliance Insurance in McPherson. Her hobby -- horses! She dedicated her entire life to riding, showing and barrel racing in rodeos. She was a loving mother and dear friend to many.
Survivors include her son, Lonnie Miller and wife Joni of Broken Arrow, OK; two grandchildren, Melissa and Matthew Miller; sisters, Gloria (Vernon) Chard, Plainville, Madge (Tom) Mock, Tucson, AZ, Dianna Conway, Manhattan, Patty (Jim) Foltz, Las Vegas, NV and Carolyn (Lawrence) Balderston, Tucson, AZ and a brother, Alan (Sue) Stalnaker, Salt Lake, UT.
She was preceded in death by Tom, her daughter, Julie Richey, brother Bob Stalnaker and two sisters, Shirley Stienmetz and Betty Vogts.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Roxbury United Parish. Inurnment will follow at Roxbury Valley View Cemetery.
