Mary Louise Moyer, 81, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Bethesda Home in Goessel, KS. She was a loving, caring person and a wonderful homemaker. She worked at Alumax, KIT Manufacturing, and Sanofi Winthrop.
Mary was born on January 2, 1940, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Frank Martin and Claudia Mae (Willingham) Ballweg. She attended the McPherson schools. Mary was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Moyer on August 29, 1954, at the Nazarene Church in McPherson. This union was blessed with two children, Sheila and Mark. Don and Mary were married 64 years before Don’s passing on October 29, 2018.
Mary always loved her family, grandchildren, her work, and hobbies. She had a good sense of humor and a happy outlook on life. She looked forward to spending time with her husband Don and son Mark, going on happy vacations together. In October, Mary enjoyed a girls’ craft fair weekend in Arkansas.
Mary will be truly missed in this world, but she has gone to a far better place to spend her eternity in.
Survivors include: her loving daughter, Sheila Ratzlaff (Joel) of Goessel, KS; two grandchildren, Bryce Ratzlaff (Katie) of Halstead, KS and Nanci Heath (Brian) of Goessel, KS; five great-grandchildren, Derek, Kelli, Braxton, Breckyn, and Maddox; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Mark Moyer on August 24, 2017; and two sisters, Rose Embers and Frankie Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 14, 2021, at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Tom Mayse officiating.
