The McPherson College women's tennis team made short work of a shorthanded Bethany College squad, defeating the Swedes, 6-0, Monday afternoon at the Doris Coppock Tennis Courts.

Brittany Zipf and Besa Bwalya swept Laura Piracun and Katie Klaassen, 8-0, in the only doubles match contested.
Zipf then defeated Piracun, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles, while Bwalya scored a 6-0, 6-1 win over Klaassen at No. 2. Zoë Bouwmeester gave the Bulldogs (6-2, 6-1 KCAC) the sweep by defeating Azucena Duarte, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 singles.
Bouwmeester and Deiah Curtis received a forfeit victory at No. 2 doubles, as did Curtis at No. 4 singles.
McPherson is back on the courts Tuesday afternoon to face Oklahoma Wesleyan University. First serve at the McPherson High School courts is scheduled for 3 p.m.
