Two softball players from the McPherson County received All-State honors over the weekend.

Jacque Hulse of Smoky Valley High School made first-team in the Class 4A Division-II All-State Team, while Bailea Crist of McPherson High School made second-team in the Class 4A Division I All-State team.

Hulse was a member of the Lady Vikings' softball team that qualified for state for the first time in school history. The starting catcher led the Lady Vikings with .548 batting average and 23 runs. She also recorded eight doubles, four triples, a homer and 13 stolen bases.

Crist started at both pitcher and shortstop in her senior season. The Bethel College signee also made AVCTL Division III first team. At Pitcher, despite one win, she pitched 72 innings and 21 strikeouts. When she is on the plate, she hit averaged .556, nine runs, 15 hits, 2RBIs, one home run. She also ran for three doubles and one triple.
