The Central Christian College of Kansas women's volleyball team were unable to deter the Eagles of Southwestern Christian University in their straight set victory over the Tigers. The Eagles (14-5; 7-5) came into the match heavily favored over the Tigers (1-15; 1-13), and they proved why, with a 25-14, 25-12, and 25-16 victory.
Despite their best efforts, the Tigers were not able to consistently put together any runs to challenge the Eagles. The Eagles would hit for a 0.269 hitting percentage, tallying 45 kills with 16 errors on 108 total attacks. Defensively, the Eagles would finish up with 57 digs, and fpur total blocks. The Tigers would hit for a 0.030 hitting percentage, with 19 kills against 16 errors on 101 total attacks. Defensively, the Tigers would collect 43 digs, and finish with four total blocks. The Tigers were led by Rebekah Glessner with 5 kills, Desiree Padilla with 15 digs, McKenzee Cook with 16 assists, and Morgan Cook with three blocks.
The Tigers will be back in action over Fall Break, when they take on Oklahoma City University on Thursday. The match will be at home, set to start at 5 PM.
