STERLING– The Bethany women's soccer team picked up their second conference win this weekend on the road at Sterling College. The Swedes defeated the stout Warriors, 2-1.
This match stayed scoreless until the final minute of the first half when Lauren McLeod, freshman midfielder, netted a ball to give the Swedes a 1-0 lead going into the break.
Twenty minutes into the second half, McLeod scored her second goal of the game off of the foot of Lauren Loughran, freshman defender. The Warriors were able to break the shutout with just 10 minutes left to play but the Swedes would hold on tight to their lead.

Each team took 13 shots in the contest with Sterling putting eight on target and Bethany putting seven on goal.
Destinee Wells, junior keeper, was in the net for the Swedes. Wells recorded seven saves in her 90 minutes of play.
