The Oklahoma City University Stars are currently chasing the undefeated Southwestern Assemblies of God University in the SAC standings, and they weren't planning on letting the Tigers get in their way. The Stars would cruise to a straight set victory over the Tigers, 25-12, 25-4, and 25-13.
The Stars would jump out to a 5-1 lead in the first game, and not look back from there, completely dominating the Tigers and not letting them get any momentum at all. The Stars especially put it all together in the second set, only allowing the Tigers get to four points. On the night, the Stars hit for a 0.306 hitting percentage, tallying 45 kills with 15 errors on 98 total attacks. The Tigers hit for a -0.14 hitting percentage, with eight kills versus 15 errors on 86 total attacks. They were led by Marissa Waddel and Anslee Bridges with three kills each, Desiree Padilla with nine digs, and McKenzee Cook with eight assists.
The Tigers will have time to rest up before they travel to University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. That match will take place on Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. down in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
