WICHITA—The Bethany women's soccer team picked up another thrilling victory in the quarterfinal match of the KCAC Championships. The Swedes defeated the Falcons of Friends University 1-0 in overtime.

The Bethany defense stayed strong in this contest. Despite being outshot 24-8, the Swedes did not give up a goal. They were able to take the game with a golden goal by Mackenzie Callison, junior midfielder, in the 96th minute. This goal came off of a pass from Marcelle Manatrey, freshman midfielder.

Destinee Wells, junior keeper, was a wall in the net for the Swedes. Wells picked up a season high of 14 saves.

The Swedes move on to the semifinals of the KCAC Championships, traveling to Salina to take on the no. 1 seeded Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes. This match is set to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
