KISSIMME, FL—It's been a long season for the Central Christian College of Kansas women's soccer team, but it came to a close on Thursday afternoon in the final pool play game of the 2018 NCCAA National Championship. It was a hard fought battle between the sixth-seed Tigers and the seventh-seed Warner University, but the Royals came out on top in the end with a tough 1-0 win.

Warner was able to jump out to a quick lead in the 12th minute with a goal from Betina Gerhardt, but the Tigers were able to regroup and fight back to regain some of the momentum. It was an even game by both teams, with the Tigers tallying 10 shots with four on goal, and Warner tallying 15 shots with seven on goal. The Royals did have the majority of the corner kicks with nine compared to two by the Tigers. Unfortunately for the Tigers, none of their shots were able to make it into the back of the net, and Warner was able to hold them off for the 1-0 win. The Tigers will finish the season at an overall record of 11-12, having lost their final eight games of the year.
