The Central Christian College of Kansas softball team picked up their first two Sooner Athletic Conference wins of the season last week against Southwestern Christian University. Freshman catcher Cassidy Pitts played a big part in those wins, and continued her hot start to the season. For her outstanding week, Pitts took home the Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week, as well as the NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week for Softball.

Pitts went 6-for-9 with three home runs and five RBIs in four games. She also drew seven intentional walks. In 2019, Pitts has a .706 average, four homers, seven RBI and a 1.706 slugging percentage. Pitts became the first Tiger softball player to take home the SAC Player of the Week award.

Pitts and the Lady Tigers will be back in action this weekend, as they play two games at Bethel College on Friday afternoon, and then two games at McPherson College on Saturday.
