Tigers collect postseason awards for winter sports

As winter sports give way to the beginning of the spring season, conferences and associations handed out their post season honors for the winter sport athletes. This year, several Tigers were selected to be honored for their athletic achievements over the course of the season.

For men's basketball, Jubril Osagie andSteve Kuminga were recognized for their outstanding seasons, with Kuminga making it on the 2018-19 All-Sooner Athletic Conference Third Team, and Osagie getting an honorable mention. The two senior forwards were also recognized by the NCCAA, both making it on to the NCCAA All-Region Second Team for the Central Region. In his three seasons as a Tiger, Osagie finished with 699 rebounds and 1330 points, which is good enough for fifth all-time highest career point total, jumping just one spot ahead of head coach Tony Romero. Kuminga also played three seasons for the Tigers, finishing with 830 career points and 503 career rebounds.

For women's basketball, Holly Golden was the lone Tiger to be honored by the Sooner Athletic Conference, while Piper Kalthoff and Tania Lowe earned NCCAA honors. Golden was an honorable mention for the 2018-19 All-Sooner Athletic Conference Teams, and Kalthoff and Lowe were honorable mentions of the NCCAA All-Region Teams for the Central Region. Kalthoff led the Tigers in scoring this season with 15.08 points per game, Lowe led them in assists with 3.45 assists per game, and Golden averaged 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Caden Emmot was the lone Tiger to earn a spot on the SAC All-Conference team for men's wrestling. He finished in third place at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships at the 141 pound weight class.
