On Friday morning, Two more Bullpups made their college decisions at McPherson High School in continuing their athletic careers. Honestee Whittker will stay local and play football for McPherson College, while Jaycee Burghart will play college volleyball at Cloud County Community College.

Whittker will be part of Jeremiah Fiscus's first recruiting class for the Bulldogs. At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, he will be reuniting with his former Bullpup teammates Kollin Goering and Ben Nikkel, which both had a productive freshman year last season Bulldogs.

During the 2018 season, Whittker recorded 39 tackles, 13 tackles-for-loss, two interceptions and a sack. He made first-team All-AVCTL D-III league and made all-state honorable mention.

Whittker has interest in studying physical therapy.

Burghart stays involved as a three-sport athlete. She will now settle down and focus as a volleyball player at Cloud County. Burghart was named AVCTL D-III Most Valuable Player and made honorable mention in Class 5A All-State. She also made the Newton Invitational All-Tournament Team last season.

Burghart was a role player of the McPherson High basketball team that won the state championship during the 2017-2018 season, and fourth in the state tournament this past season. As a soccer player, she played a leadership role as a midfielder. She was a member of the 2018 team that finished third in the state tournament and is continuing to play soccer this season. Burghart plans on majoring in biology and pre-med.
