STERLING— The Swedes baseball team was back in KCAC play today travelling to face the Sterling College Warriors. Bethany fell to the Warriors 5-0 in the first of a three-game series.

The teams went scoreless for two innings before Sterling scored their first run in the bottom of the third. The Warriors then plated two in the fourth, one in the sixth, and their final run in the eighth.

Evan Schwab, junior designated hitter, had two hits for the Swedes while three others recorded hits in the contest.

Three Swedes worked from the mound. Josh Macat, sophomore pitcher, started things off, taking the loss. Through 2.2 innings, Macat allowed one unearned run on three hits. Brayden McAlister, freshman pitcher, then came in to allow no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Cohl Bohannan, sophomore pitcher, then threw the final five innings for the Swedes, allowing four runs on nine hits.
