LAWRENCE—The Swedes men's golf team finished up the Baker Spring Invitational tournament on Tuesday. As a team, Bethany finished fourth of eight teams with a total score of 598.
Sophomore, Jose Maria Cunha led things for the Swedes finishing with a T3 finish thanks to his rounds of 71 and 73. Sophomore, Birgir Magnusson finished T8 with his scores of 76 and 71. His day two score was good enough to be the low score of the round. Senior, Jordan Della Guistina finished up with scores of 75 and 76 while freshman, Brandon Garza recorded scores of 76 and 82. Freshman, Gunnar Gunmmundsson finished tied with Garza with his rounds of 78 and 80. Finally, sophomore Connor Lies and freshman, Joep Mokkink rounded things out for the Swedes with their total scores of 166 and 167, respectively.
"There was some good, and some bad," Bethany head coach Oliver Rubenstein said. "Our biggest thing is unenforced errors. If we want to give ourselves a chance to get back in the mix for conference we must eliminate those errors. For 16/17 holes on Monday the guys played much better than they have done all spring."
