HESSTON – It was another strong showing by the McPherson Middle School boys tennis team on Monday as they made a short trip to Hesston and buried the hosts by winning the dual 14-4.

The Junior Pups won all six double matches while taking eight of twelve in the single battles. Included in the single wins were total shutdown wins of 6-0 by Henry Boese playing #6 singles and Taylor Oertel at #10 singles.

The team will now close out the 2019 season by hosting the Pioneer League tournament on Thursday, May 2 at Wall Park.

Doubles:

No. 1- Joey Miller/Reid Schuckman won 8-6.

No. 2 – Collin Winter/Thomas Potter won 8-3.

No. 3 – Hunter Mendez/Henry Boese won 8-4.

No. 4 – Aidan Wheaton/Cade Scheibler won 8-7.

No. 5 – Wyatt Scheibler/Taylor Oertel won 8-2.

No. 6 – Carter Spotted Elk/Vlad Peters won 8-1.
