GULF SHORES ALA. – The Swedes track and field team came home from competing in the NAIA National Championships with two All-Americans, three personal bests and one new school record.
Sophomore, Arriana Benjamin earned All-American honors for the second time this year with a seventh place finish in the shot put. Benajmin's toss of 14.22m was also good enough for an outdoor track and field personal best.
Sophomore, Bryce Carmack also finished seventh in the pole vault, also earning All-American honors for the second time this year. His mark of 4.80m tied his outdoor personal best and school record.
Freshman, Garreth Pettijohn's mark of 60.40m in the javelin was good enough for a personal best and ninth place finish.
The men's 4x400m relay team made up of freshman, Dalton Williams; junior, Terrell Rodriguez; freshman, Isaac Rodriguez; and sophomore, Keith Isreal finished in 23rd with a time of 3:19.80.
