The Kansas Soccer Coaches Association announced its all-state team on Tuesday, and the six players of McPherson High School received honors.

Michaela Bowers and Claire Hedlund made first-team in class 5A. Bowers was picked as a defender, and Hedlund as a forward.

Kenzee Gowin made second-team at forward, and so did Hannah Hageman as a midfielder. Midfielder Jaycee Burghart and goalkeeper Riley Hett made the honorable mention selection.

The Bullpups finished the 2019 season with a 17-2 record, winning their league and qualified for state, where they lost to Valley Center in the quarterfinals.
