WICHITA—The McPherson Pipeliners got back to its winning ways after blowing out the Park City Rangers 12-3 on the road on Tuesday. The Pipeliners are 3-2, earning their first league win of the year.

The Pipeliners found their ace pitcher in Carter Hohn after pitching eight strikeouts during preseason play against the Kansas Curve back in May 31. In his first regular season start, the Rangers saw nothing but zeroes in six innings as Hohn pitched seven strikeouts, only gave away two hits and four walks.

Offensively, the Pipeliners outhit the Rangers 17-3 and led 3-0 to the seventh inning. Both Trey Yukumuto and Chris Sanchez tied for four RBIs and three hits. Daniel Arroyo and Jake Selco also tied for two RBIs, and Julian Hunt and Tyler Brown each had one. Hunt's only hit led to an RBI triple.

The runs started coming late when the Pipeliners collected four in the top eight, five in the top nine. The Rangers only big inning came in the bottom eighth when they gathered three runs. The Rangers recorded two errors the whole game.

After playing five straight games in five days, The Pipeliners will finally get a day off on Wednesday and will return to Light Capital Diamond on Thursday as they host the Clearwater Outlaws at 7 p.m.
