First year head coach TJ Eskildsen, has announced his recruiting class for the upcoming 2019-20 season. Elskildsen takes over the Bulldog program after spending the past nine seasons as the assistant coach under Tim Swatzendruber. This first class of Bulldogs for Coach Eskildsen includes a total of 15 players, ten freshmen and five transfer students. The Bulldogs' season officially tips off on October 29, at home against the Manhattan Christian College Thunder.

Below is a summary of each of the recruits donning a Bulldog uniform this season.

Transfers:

Kemryn Jenkins- 6-foot-2 JR from Louisville, Kentucky - Iowa Central Community College.

He averaged 16.7 PPG and 2.9 RPG as a sophomore at Iowa Central, and was their leading scorer. He shot 45 percent from the floor and 43 percent from three-point land, ranking him fifth in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Division II in scoring, and third in the conference in three-point percentage.
"Kemryn is a dynamic scorer that can really shoot the ball from three," Eskildsen said. "Three-point shooting was an area that we felt like we needed to improve on, and Kemryn definitely helps to address that need. He played for a Hall of Fame Coach at Iowa Central in Dennis Pilcher and has been challenged every night in an always tough ICCAC. We are excited to add Kemryn to the Bulldog family."

Trenton Crow- 6-foot-3 RS SO from Claremore, Oklahoma - Rejoice Christian High School - Cameron University - Oklahoma Baptist University.

In high school he was All-State in 2017 and a top 25 player in Oklahoma Prep Hoops. He was a two-time Tulsa World Mr. Outside, and two time first-team all Pinnacle Conference. He scored 1,200 points in two and a half years.
"Trenton is somebody that I recruited extremely hard out of High School," Eskildsen said. "He decided to attend NCAA Division II Cameron University, and then spent half a year at NCAA Division II Oklahoma Baptist. He comes to McPherson with three years of eligibility remaining. Trenton brings us size and length at the guard position. He can really shoot the ball from three as well as get to the rim. He plays the game the right way and is an excellent teammate. I am excited that it finally worked out for him to become a McPherson Bulldog. "
 
Marcus Davis- 6-foot, SO Olathe, Kansas - Pratt Community College and Olathe North High School. As a senior at Olathe North High School averaged 13 PPG., and was an honorable mention All-Sunflower League selection. Marcus' team made the 6A State Tournament as a senior and as a freshman at Pratt. He played in 16 games.
"Marcus brings us a lot of athleticism from the guard position," Eskildsen said. "He was a key member of a 6A state tournament team and has played in a lot of big games. His athleticism will bring us a different dynamic at the guard spot. I'm excited to see how Marcus develops over the next three years."
 
Damir Bruncevic- 6-foot-7 RS FR - Pratt Community College - Serbia - No stats available
"Damir red-shirted at Pratt Community College last year as a Freshman," Eskildsen said. "He is a versatile and skilled big who can play both on the perimeter and in the post. Sean Flynn, head coach for the PCC Beavers, raved about Damir's work ethic and the type of person that he is. We are excited to see how he progresses and think he has a chance to be a very good player at McPherson."
Hunter Kirby- 6-foot-1 RS FR Lakin, Kansas. - Dodge City Community College - Lakin High School- 18.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 2 APG.
"Hunter played baseball at Dodge City last year as a freshman, and was another player that we recruited out of High School and are excited to get him after one year," Eskildsen said. "He is a tough kid that has good skill on the perimeter. As he gets back in basketball shape I think he has a chance to really be a good player in our program."

Freshman:

Reid O'Connor- 6-foot-5 FR. Levelland, Texas - Levelland High School- 12.9 PPG 5.9 RPG, 1.4 blocks per game- District 3-4A first team.

"Reid is another versatile player with size and the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter," Eskildsen said. "He was my first signee as Head Coach and I couldn't be more excited to coach him for the next four years. Reid has a great personality and is really enjoyable to be around. He has a chance to be a very good player for McPherson over the next four years."
 
Luis Rodriguez- 5-foot-8 FR The Colony, Texas - The Colony High School- 11.2ppg 3apg 2.1rpg. First-team All-District 8-5A. Academic All-District 8-5A.
"Luis is a young man with an infectious personality and competitive spirit that is just fun to be around. As a player he broke The Colony's record for career three-point makes," Eskildsen said. "At a High School that has produced numerous Division I players as well as an NBA All Star like Deron Williams that is extremely impressive. I am excited to see how Luis adjusts to the college game and grows over the next four years. He has a chance to be a special player at McPherson that I am sure people are going to enjoy watching compete."
 
Karson Waters – 6'3 FR Macksville, Kansas - Macksville High School - 17.1 PPG 7.4 RPG 5 apg. First-Team All Central Prairie League, Honorable Mention Class 1A All-State.
"The word that comes to mind with Karson is 'Motor'. Basketball is becoming a sport where playing hard has become a skill," Eskildsen said. "Karson is somebody who plays hard every possession of every game. He was a three sport athlete in High School and I am excited to see the progression he can make as a player focusing on just basketball. His athleticism and motor will really give him a chance to compete."
 
David Cramer- 5'11 FR Dighton, Kansas - Dighton High School- 10.9 ppg 4.9rpg 1.8spg.

"David is another multi-sport athlete from Western Kansas," Eskildsen said. "He is a great person who will bring energy and toughness to the court on a daily basis. He is the type of person that you want representing your program and school. I am excited to see the steps David takes on the court over the next four years."
 
Semaj Kinney- 5'8 FR The Colony, Texas - The Colony High School- 1ppg 1apg.
"Semaj is another guard from The Colony High School in Texas," Eskildsen said. "He transferred to The Colony for his senior year and was a part of a team that went 29-8. He has a lot of athletic ability and quickness. I love the way that he will get down and guard people. He will keep getting better and gain confidence the more he plays. He has the physical tools to be a good player in our program."
 
Joshua Servantez- 5-foot-11 FR Shallowater, Texas - Shallowater High School- 19.5 PPG, 5 APG, 4 RPG- District 2-3A MVP, 3A TABC All-State Selection.


"Josh was one of the best guards in West Texas this past season. He has the ability to score while also being a great passer and teammate," Eskildsen said. "He can play both as a point guard and a combo guard. I think that as Josh adjusts to the college game he has a chance to become a very good player in our league."As good of a basketball player as Josh is I am also just as excited for the type of student and person that he is. I think he will be a great fit at McPherson College."

Maurice Jones- 5-foot-9 FR Kansas City, Missouri - Grandview Christian High School -5 PPG 2 APG, 2 SPG
"Maurice is a point guard that keeps improving. He is someone that always wants to be in the gym, and is determined to get better every day," Eskildsen said. "He has a great personality and is very outgoing and vocal. Those qualities definitely help being a point guard. We are excited to see the type of player that Maurice can turn himself into over the next four years."
 
Myles McCrary- 6'5 FR Arlington, Texas - Grace Prep High School 13 PPG 9 RPG - First team All Sate TAPPS 4A-Defensive Player of the Year.


"Myles has unlimited potential. His strength and athleticism should allow him adjust to the College game quickly. We expect him to be able to compete for quality minutes as a freshman." Eskildsen said. "If he keeps improving Myles has a chance to be a big time player at McPherson College. When he committed to us I felt as though we got a steal. Not only is he a great player but he is an outstanding person that comes from a great family. I am extremely excited to see what Myles can accomplish in a Bulldog uniform."
 
Kenneth (Junior) Castleberry- 6-foot FR, Melissa, Texas - Melissa High School- 11.8 ppg 4.2 rpg 1.7 APG, 1.1SPG. second-team 11-4A All District.

Coach Eskildsen says, "Junior has very good athleticism from the combo guard spot. He comes from a great program at Melissa and understands what it takes to win. He is another player who played multiple sports in High School. I am excited to see what Junior can become in the next four years."
 
Christian Aguillard- 6-foot-4 FR Plano, Texas - Plano West High School- 5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, Honorable Mention 9-6A All-District.

"Christian is a player who we feel like has as much upside as anyone we have recruited," Eskildsen said. "He is transitioning from being a post player in High School to a guard. His length and athleticism give him a chance to be a big time player in our league. His ability to guard multiple positions makes him valuable in any game. If Christian works hard on his game the sky is the limit for him."
