McPherson will host its annual fall sports preview beginning on Aug. 30 at McPherson Stadium and the Sports Center. Here are the time schedule for this coming event. 

3:00-9:00  — Ford Drive 4UR School test drive event, sponsored by the MHS Booster Club and Midway Motors.  For each no-sales pitch test drive, $20 will be donated by Midway Motors and Ford back to the MHS Booster Club to benefit all KSHSAA-sponsored activities.  Sign up and test drive area will be located directly north of McPherson Stadium on Sharp St.  In addition, every driver will get a free hot dog at the Booster Club Grill. The goal is to raise $6,000 during this event.

5:00 — MMS Football Scrimmage-McPherson Stadium; MMS Volleyball Scrimmage-Mac College Sport Center

5:30-7:30 —The McPherson Police Department will be handing out free popcorn from the concession stand during the 3rd Annual "Popcorn with a Cop Night."

5:55 — MMS Cheer Squad performance and introductions

6:00 — MHS Football Showcase (7 v 7 , 2-minute min drill, defensive pursuit etc.) 6:00 — MHS Volleyball Scrimmage-Mac College Sport Center

6:00 — MHS & MMS Cross Country Time Trials-McPherson Stadium Track (start at north end)

7:00 — MHS Marching Band and Color Guard Performance-Scotland The Brave Pregame; National Anthem performed by USD 418 Elementary Choir Students; MHS Marching Band-McPherson High School Song; MHS Marching Band and Color Guard-Halftime Show Preview and Introductions

7:15 — Introductions of the Fall Athletic Teams (MS/HS Football, MS/HS Girls Tennis, MS/HS Cross Country, HS Soccer, MS/HS Volleyball)

7:30 — MHS Cheerleader Performance and Introductions

7:35 — MHS Hi-Stepper Performance and Introductions

7:40 — MHS Soccer Scrimmage-McPherson Stadium

• Admission is a free-will donation of non-perishable food, or cash, that the MHS Student Council will present to the McPherson County Food Bank.

• MHS Stuco will be selling tickets for their yard-line fundraiser.

• MHS discounted family passes will be available for sale from 5:00-7:45.

• The MHS KAY Club will be providing fun for all kids in attendance that includes a bounce house, dunk tank, face painting and popsicles for a dollar.

• The MHS Booster Club will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and serving drinks.  Participants in the Ford Drive 4UR School event will receive a free hot dog
