Last weekend, U10 MCFC boys took home a first-place trophy in the Hutchinson Club Azzurri Soccer Tournament.

On Saturday, made a McPherson won two straight wins to make a statement. Their victory was over the Wichita Selection, 4-2. Jaxson Hoover led MCFC with a hat-trick performance, and Aaron Villasenor scored the fourth goal. Their next game was a 3-1 victory over Hutchinson Azzurri Blue 10. Hoover had another big game as he scored two more goals. Blake Harrington also contributed with a goal of his own. Baylor Boesler and Paxton Weiser shared playing time at goalkeeper and managed only to give up one goal.

McPherson returned to Hutchison on Sunday for the Championship game against Azzurri Blue 10 again. McPherson dominated Hutchinson with a 5-1 win. Right from the jump, McPherson had a 4-0 lead. Nick Easton got himself a hat trick, while Hoover and Villasenor each had a goal to shut down Hutchinson. Thatcher Schuckman made some crucial saves and only gave away one goal as the starting goalkeeper.
