YORK, Neb – The Bethany Swedes were back in action on the pitch Tuesday, Oct. 8 to face off with York College. The men's soccer team fell in the contest 6-0.

York took a 1-0 advantage in the first 10 minutes of the game. Neither team would score after that in the first half. However, in the second half the Panthers once again took off early but this time building on their one goal. York scored three times in the first 12 minutes of the half before netting their final two goals of the game in the 67th and 76th minutes of the game.

Bethany put up five shots, three of which were on target in the contest. On the defensive end, Miguel Guzman, junior keeper, was in net for the first 57 minutes of the game collecting five saves. Juan Saldivar, senior keeper, then took over for the last 33 minutes of the game, snagging one save.
