STERLING – The Bethany volleyball team was back in action Wednesday with a 3-0 conference victory on the road at Sterling College.

The Swedes were able to take a small early set one lead, with a few small runs along with capitalizing on their side out opportunities. Sterling then began to match the Swedes point for point throughout the rest of the set but the Swedes early lead gave them enough of an advantage to take a 25-19 set one win. Bethany was then able to use their momentum to come out firing in set two and take a 25-13 victory. Things looked very similar in the third and final set. While the Warriors were able to come back and even things up at 9-9, Bethany took off from there to close out the set and match 25-13.

Junior, Georgia Romine-Black, and Paola Sanabria-Lopez led the team with 10 kills each. Senior, Ivona Vojcodic, and sophomore, Jordan Valentine, had nine and six kills, respectively. Vojvodic also recorded 26 assists, two aces, and 12 digs in the match. Haley Reifsteck, junior libero, led the team with 21 digs.
