TOPEKA – The McPherson City FC 10 boys soccer team had another successful outing in the Topeka Harvest Club Tournament as they finished first last weekend.
MCFC never lost the whole tournament, finishing 2-0-2. They dominated game one with a 3-0 win over TISC Rebels. Aaron Villasenor and Leonardo Miranda were two scoring leaders, and the third score was off the Rebels' own goal. Paxton Weiser and the defense didn't give up any attempt.
Game two, McPherson had to deal with some adversity after trailing 1-0. Miranda came through for MCFC to even the score, end the match in the draw. Game three also ended in a 1-1 tie in its match against SKV Sanchez. Just like game two, McPherson came from behind, but Jaxon Hoover settled the scored. Villasenor and Mirandaeach each a goal to clinch the win for McPherson.
