No. 5 Oklahoma at Kansas State
Gallagher- I’m not sure if Oklahoma will walk into Manhattan and dominate the Wildcats, but I don’t see Kansas State winning this game. This might be the best Oklahoma team we’ve seen this decade. 44-20 Oklahoma
Peter- Kansas State might give the Sooners a scare in the first quarter, but I expect the Sooners to make adjustments and dominate the rest of the game. 34-17 Oklahoma
Oklahoma State at No. 23 Iowa State
Gallagher- If you know me, you know I won’t pick against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are talented enough to win this game, but talent has not been equalling wins recently. Iowa State is probably the smart pick. 33-27 Oklahoma St.
Peter- I’m not worried about Oklahoma State offensively, but defensively is my main concern. The Cowboys allowed an average 30 points a game. While for the Cyclones, the have emerging freshman in Breece Hall, a Wichita native. I think it’ll pretty close by I think Iowa has the edge. 31-24 Iowa St.
No. 15 Texas at TCU
Gallagher- How amazing it would have been to see Texas lose to Kansas last week. Maybe it will happen this week, but I think Texas wins a close one. 30-27 Texas
Peter- Texas kind of rubbed me the wrong way after barely beating the Jayhawks in their home turf. I know Longhorns are not going to let that happen again. TCU lost two straight, is in need of desperate win to stay above .500. 34-24 Texas
Texas Tech at Kansas
Gallagher- Kansas is hungry for a win, and Texas Tech is dejected after back-to-back losses. However, I can’t pick Kansas until the Jayhawks prove they can win in this conference. Defeating Tech would be a good start. 45-35 Texas Tech
Peter-I don’t know why, but something tells me the Jayhawks have a legitimate shot against the Red Raiders. Hopefully they are not too hung over from last week and can put up more points than Texas Tech. I’ll give them one more chance to get their first conference win. 38-31 Kansas
No. 13 Wisconsin at No. 3 Ohio State
Gallagher- I don’t think last week’s loss to Illinois means Wisconsin is overrated. The Badgers are a good football team on both sides of the ball. But Ohio State is in an elite tier right now. I don’t think there’s anyone better than Ohio State this season, but teams like Oklahoma and Alabama are probably on their level. 38-27 Ohio State
Peter- Wisconsin surprised everyone after a stunning loss to Illinois. I questioned the coaching in why not relying on their heisman-contending running back, Jonathan Taylor to win the game. The Buckeyes are a more complete team but I’ll be intrigue on how Justin Fields will do against the Badgers’ defense. Side note, look out J.K. Dobbins from the Buckeyes. 27-10 Ohio State
