LITTLE RIVER — Little River faces its toughest test since Week 1 when Ness City comes to town on Friday.
Like Little River, Ness City is 8-1 this season. The Eagles entered the final game of the regular season undefeated, but fell to Hodgeman County (8-1) 52-26 in the district championship.
Ness City defeated Macksville 23-8 last week in the opening round of the playoffs. The Eagles also defeated Macksville 46-0 back in Week 2. Little River defeated Macksville 48-0 in Week 6.
The past three weeks, the Ness City offense has been somewhat limited. After scoring at least 30 points in every game of the season, Ness City has scored less than 26 each of the past three games.
On the flip side, Little River has posted shutouts in four straight games, and six times total.
The winner of this game will advance to the quarterfinals. Clifton-Clyde (9-0) or Leoti-Wichita County (8-1) will be the opponent.
