LINDSBORG — Kayann and Abby Ausherman will be the Artists-in-Residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum from June 30 to July 4.

“Abby and I both intend to work on stamp carving and printmaking while at the Red Barn Studio,“ Kayann said in a statement. ”My focus will be on translating my mixed media artwork onto the carving block, as well as exploring the incorporation of the stamped image back into mixed media artwork. Abby will be adding combining stamped images with fabric and stitching to create a unique result.”

Kayann Ausherman attended art and graphic design courses in pursuit of an Anthropology Degree with Museum display emphasis at Kansas State University and has attended various college and online art classes, but she is a self-taught artist.
