Friends and members of Freemount enjoyed the treats.

Sept. 13 was a busy day for Freemount Lutheran Church — the church hosted a special education ceremony, and an ice cream social in the evening.

Sunday school Kick-Off & Teacher Installation at Freemount Lutheran Church was September 13.

Freemount Lutheran Church held its annual Ice Cream Social, Sunday evening, September 13, 2020, again, on the lawn in front of the Main Church.

This year was a bit different, as the tables were spaced a safe social distance apart. Bethany Home residents were very much missed, as were other folks that normally attend.

Despite limitations, organizers said the crowd was a decent size, and everyone attending enjoyed the beautiful evening and delicious homemade ice cream, fruit crisps and desserts.

A new feature was the display of pumpkins, both edible and decorative. Those who desired could make a donation and take the pumpkins home. This year's proceeds will benefit the Operation Christmas Child Project.
