In-person grain workshops

Kansas State University Extension officers will present in-person, grain workshops around the state. Winning the Game Grain Marketing Workshops.

These workshops will focus on developing pre-harvest marketing strategies, using cost of production for price strategy targets, seasonal price, trend-based pre-harvest strategies and marketing tools. Some workshops will feature corn, while others will focus on sorghum. 

The first workshop occurs on Jan. 27 in Russell. Space is limited and will take place at the Dole-Specter Conference Center in Russell. Call 785-483-3157 for more information.

Belleville will hold the next in-person workshop on Feb. 9 at the 4-H Building on the Belleville Fairgrounds. Call 785-282-6823  for more information. The next day, Kinsley will hold the workshop at St. Nicholas Parish Center. Call 620-659-2149 to register.

On Feb. 23-25, the workshop will take place in Erie, Herington and Wichita. Contact 620-784-8233 in Erie, tonyw@ksu.edu in Herington and 316-660-0153 in Wichita. 

Daniel Kelly is harvesting corn on Oct. 9 in Haven.

Phillipsburg and Brown County's workshops were postponed.
