McPherson's Dan Lichty announces retirement
A McPherson doctor has announced his retirement.
Dr. Dan Lichty, who practices family medicine at McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates, will retire on June 30.
“I would like to thank McPherson Hospital and the people of Central Kansas for putting their trust in me this past 14 years," Lichty said in a statement. "It has been my honor and privilege to be the recipient of that trust.”
Dr. Lichty got his bachelor's degree at McPherson College, earning a bachelor’s degree and completed his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

He joined Dr. James Prescott at Midland Family Medicine and then joined McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates at McPherson Hospital where he's been since 2014.
“Dr. Lichty is a true professional,” McPherson Hospital President and CEO Chris Stipe said in a statement. “In my short time at the hospital, I have appreciated his medical insight and experience. Clearly, he will be missed a great deal by his colleagues and his patients.
