County reports six new cases of COVID-19; Phase 3 extended

McPherson County will remain in Phase 3 of its reopening plan as recommended by the McPherson County Health Department on Wednesday afternoon.

Phase 3 will remain in effect until at least July 6.

The health department reported six new cases of COVID-19 in the county, pushing its count to 55.

One case is a symptomatic male in his 50s with unknown exposure. The second case is a symptomatic female in her 80s with unknown exposure. The third case is an asymptomatic male in his 60s with unknown exposure.

The fourth case is a a symptomatic male in his 40s with know exposure.The fifth case is an asymptomatic male in his 20s with known exposure. The final case is a symptomatic male in his 50s with known exposure.

All six new cases are currently recovering at home.
